A unified security standard for Korveniq Technologies projects

A unified standard sets the same security requirements at every stage of a project.

KORVENIQ TECHNOLOGIES / 2026

When a company has several projects and teams, security questions are easily solved differently: in one place secrets sit in environment variables, in another in configuration files, and access is granted “as the situation requires”. Each such difference is a potential risk.

Korveniq Technologies is introducing a unified security standard for all projects. It sets baseline requirements for access, data, dependencies and releases, and becomes a mandatory part of the development process rather than a separate check at the end.

Access and roles

The standard rests on the principle of least privilege: every project member and every service gets only the access needed to do the work. Roles are defined in advance, and granting and revoking access is recorded.

Critical operations — such as changes to the production environment — require additional approval. This reduces the risk of error and makes investigation easier if something goes wrong.

WHAT THE STANDARD COVERS

01AccessLeast privilege, defined roles and a log of granted access.
02SecretsIsolated key storage and a ban on keeping secrets in code.
03DataEnvironment separation, anonymized test data, backups.
04ReleasesAutomatic checks and versioning of every change.
“Security works when it is built into the daily process, not bolted on before release.”

Data and secrets

Secrets — keys, tokens, passwords — are kept in isolated stores and never enter the repository. Client data is separated by environment, and test environments use anonymized datasets.

The standard also defines which data may be stored and for how long, how backups are organized and who is responsible for recovery.

Security in the delivery process

Dependency checks, code analysis and security tests are built into the build pipeline. A release is not published until the mandatory checks pass, and all changes stay in history with the author recorded.

This turns security from a one-off procedure into an ordinary part of developers' daily work and removes the need to settle the same questions again on every project.

Every release goes through the same set of checks, regardless of project or team.

What's next

The standard will keep evolving: we regularly revisit requirements in light of incidents, external guidance and team feedback. Every change is versioned and communicated to projects in a clear form.

Korveniq Technologies clients can request a description of the requirements in use to compare them against their own internal policies.
